A Passion for Learning: The Life Journey of Khalil Totah, a Palestinian Quaker Educator and Activist

Khalil Totah's life spanned the waning days of the Ottoman Empire, the British Mandate in Palestine, and the foundation of the state of Israel. Largely due to his education and mentoring at the Friends School in Ramallah, from childhood to the end of his days, Khalil's focus was on education. He lived and worked on three continents, witnessed wars and revolts and experienced great joys and great disappointments. He and his wife, Eva, left a journal, diaries, articles, photographs, and Eva's letters to family in the US. All these and personal experience formed the foundation for this story.
